Does Sabai Studio accept insurance?

All services at Sabai Studio are self-pay, but we do provide physical therapy clients with superbills which allows them to easily submit claims to their insurance provider for direct reimbursement. The superbill process is not required, but is an option available for clients if they so choose.

The superbill process allows for high quality of care with personalized hands-on/manual treatments where Summer works 1:1 with patients for 50+ minutes each session typically 1-2x/week or as needed for maintenance. At Sabai Studio, there is no shifting of patients from PT to PT Aide. As the patient, you are the sole focus of each session and the continuum of care is un-interrupted by removing the shifting of clients from one provider to the next during each session.

What is a superbill? How do I find out what my coverage is?

A superbill is an itemized breakdown of billing codes based on the type of treatment/services that are paired with your diagnoses. Insurance will know what a superbill is/means, they just have specific ways that they prefer members (patients) to submit. Usually either online or via snail mail.

To get a better idea of your specific reimbursement percentage we recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about reimbursement rates for out-of-network physical therapy. Depending on your individual plan, there may not be much of a difference in percentage coverage for out-of-network versus in-network with the addition of co-pay costs per session.

Order of events for the superbill process:

PT session complete, client pays at time of service -> superbills auto-upload to your client portal on the 10th of each following month as a PDF -> client submits superbill to insurance -> insurance reimburses client directly.

Example: client has 4 PT sessions in March, on April 10th all sessions from March will be on one superbill within the clients portal.
